Ukraine has handed over gas tankages and transit pipelines to Russia at dumping prices for 25 years. New debates about Russian gas supplies have started in Ukraine after publication of 6 secret applications to gas treaty dated by January 4. Ukrainian minister of finance Victor Pizenik has said that country is not confident in gas issue. He declared that has never seen these documents before. It is expected that gas treaties will lead to heated debates at parliamentary session, which has started on Tuesday in Kiev. After Russian side requested 5-times rise of prices for gas and reduced gas supplies to Ukraine, gas concerns "Gazprom" and "Naftogas" concluded the treaty on January 4. According to the contract, Ukraine should buy gas from mediator RosUkrEnergo at twice higher price - $95 per 1000 cubic meters of gas. Mutual enterprise "UkrgasEnergo" would accept gas on Ukrainian side. There is information about additional documents unprofitable for Ukrainian side with contract term of several decades. Oppositely the price for gas is fixed till the middle of current year. Moreover, Ukraine will be paid $1.6 for transit of 1000 cubic meters of gas for 100 km till 2030. At the same moment Ukrainian side is obliged to keep 15 milliards cubic meters of Russian gas in tankages till 2030. Russia will pay Ukraine $2.25 for every 1000 cubic meters of gas in tankage.
