Reckoned among high risk area settlements are situated not far from habitat of birds. Veterinarians of Habarovsk krai intend to visit every farmstead and inoculate all poultry. Students of medical university will be involved in the process in case of necessity", - informed the head of veterinarian department of Agricultural Ministry over Habarovsk krai Svetlana Samoilenko. 3.5 million doses of vaccine against bird flu will be imported to Habarovsk krai. As soon as vaccine arrives, poultry will be vaccinated in all regional battery farms. These farms are under special control at present moment and operate in closed regime. Meanwhile experts state that city crows and pigeons, as well as rodents can become the carriers of disease.
