11th Open Russian Fectival of Animation cinema will be held on February 9-13, 2006. 50 pictures participate in the contest, informs the Festival`s web-site. Sequels of famous Soviet cartoons will be shown in the festival program, for example "New adventures of Kesha the parrot", " How Hamster and Gopher never parted" and the 19th episode of "Now, wait!". The audience of the Festival will see first five cartoons of the series "Lullabies of the World" by the director Elizaveta Skvortsova, and dozens of other pictures, including puppet "Captain`s daughter" and several episodes of the large project "Gem mountain" (fairy tails of nations of Russia). The Festival jury has grown in number up to 33 people in 2006, having turned into "experts board", said to journalist the cartoon director Mikhail Aldashin. The winner will be determined by the sum of points. The Festival President is Alexander Tatarsky.
