Rapa whelks have bred in Black Sea so much that even harm the sea fauna. They eat other types of mollusks - some of them have become extinct. But experts predict no ecologic catastrophe in the region - by their estimates disturbed balance will be restored in nearest future.
Thrown out to the shore rapa whelks became an easy prey for Anapa citizens. Dozens of citizens collect them along the shore. Cooked rapa whelk is quiet a popular dish in local restaurants.
