Yekaterinburg hospitals are overcrowded of patients with rotavirus infection. Every day about 10 children in severe state are hospitalized to infectious department. Their treatment starts with placing under medical dropper. Almost all patients are in severe state. The symptoms are similar and doctors diagnose the patients easily - rotavirus infection. Doctors consider the situation is not an epidemic nut a seasonal outburst of the disease. In winter the immune system is weak and every 10-th child gets enteric infection. Rotavirus infection spreads only by contact-domestic way. There is no immunity or preventive inoculation against the virus and doctors recommend following the elementary rules of personal hygiene. This measure especially refers to children - it is recommended not to drink tap water and even not to bathe the child in it.
