Number of citizens in Kamchatka will reduce if authorities of regional center don`t change the city politics. This was announced by president`s plenipotentiary at Far East federal region Kamil Iskhakov during meeting with mayor of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski Vladislav Skvorzov. Plenipotentiary called Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski the "unattractive town". "There is no street lightning, roads are cleaned poorly, the building of city administration is ugly. If officials dislike even the building where they work one can say nothing about love to native town", - said Iskhakov. He also paid attention of city authorities to high expenses of population on housing repair. Moreover, plenipotentiary has noticed that national priority project "Available housing" is not realized in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski: the system of mortgage lending is not introduced, new housing is not constructed and the cost of real estate is incredibly high (25 thousand rubles per 1 sq. meter). Local banks granted only 40 mortgage credits for 2005.
