"According to the agreements reached, Russia will provide not only launchers, and even some scientific instruments, but also will create lander mission "Eczemas-2018," said the scientific Manager of the project "Eczemas" with the Russian side, the employee of Institute of space research (IKI) of RAS Daniel Rodionov.
Therefore, on the plane of the planet by means developed by NPO Lavochkin landing module will be delivered to the boarding platform, inter alia Russian development, and the Rover European space Agency (ESA) weighing about 300 kilograms, informs ITAR-TASS.
The 1st stage of the project "Eczemas-2016" contains develop ESA orbital module and demonstration landing module. The objectives of the Rover considered the geological survey and search of prints of life in the subsurface layer of Mars around the landing site.
IKI 2 develops devices for installation on the Rover - infrared spectrometer ISEM and neutron spectrometer HADRON-RM. After the descent of the Rover with a Russian landing platform last will begin work on a research program, which is linked to start with a forecast of different activities on the Martian surface, originating from different time scale - day, season, year. Duration of the planned work on the surface - 1 Martian year (about 1.8 years on Earth).
