The largest in Europe electrical appliances manufacturer Philips has sent to "The First Channel" and its subsidiaries letters with the request not to issue to the market DVD with the film "Day Watch". Philips declares, that the discs are manufactured by the not-licensed factories, and thus are pirate. The information about letters, sent to "The First Channel" and "Bazelevs production" has been confirmed by the concern Philips network manager of on the questions of intellectual property, standards and licensing. The letters were sent on February 14, a day before the issue "Day Watch" on DVD. "The First Channel" and "The First video company", which is the immediate customer of the DVD "Day Watch" officials said they received that no letters from Philips.
