The head of Rosatom Sergey Kirienko has announced that there are no political obstacles for completion of atomic power plant construction in Bushera. "We don`t see any political obstacles for construction completion and we are interested in launching of APP at the earliest possible date", - said Kirienko after negotiations with Iranian colleague Holam-Rezoi Agazade. The construction of first power-generating unit of APP in Bushera at the cost of $1 milliard is realized by Russian company Atomstroiexport according to agreement between Russian and Iranian governments dated 25.08.92 "About cooperation in construction of atomic power plant on Iranian territory". The launching of power-generating unit is planned for 4-th quarter of 2006. Construction of Bushera atomic power plant was started by German concern Siemens over 20 years ago but it was stopped by political motives. The completion of power-generating unit construction is carried out by Russian and Iranian organizations - about 3.7 thousand Russian specialists are involved.
