This was announced by press-service of Far East union of Navy and Anti-aircraft defense. "The soldier Nikolai Tormyshev shot himself on February 23 before guard duty. He made 8 shots from Kalashnikov submachine. Wounded soldier died on the spot, - said deputy commander of Far East Union of Navy and Anti-aircraft Defense, lieutenant colonel Sergey Rosha. - A letter addressed to relatives was found in mailbox. The soldier bid farewell to family and asks to blame no one for his death. In previous letter Nikolai wrote that he has nightmares recently. Psychological examination, which is held once per half a year, didn`t reveal any deviations in soldier`s mentality". Earlier Far East Office of Military Prosecutor instituted criminal proceedings according to article "incitement to suicide". Commander of Far Eat union of Nave and Anti-aircraft Defense, lieutenant-general Igor Sadofiev took investigation of causes and circumstances of the accident under personal control.
