Famous Russia biathlete Olga Pyleva, the champion of the world and Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, gave first interview after return from Turin. The sportswomen said: "I feel no guilt. For 20 years of my sport career I was never caught on doping and all my victories were achieved thanks to persistence". "The doping scandal became a surprise for me as well as for my fans. First thought: it can not be the truth. I didn`t sleep that night. I was hoping that clamour around medicine subscribed by personal doctor Nina Vinogradova for leg pain relief was just a misunderstanding. But doctors found carfedon prohibited by MOC!", - said sportswoman. As a result of positive doping tests Pyleva was deprived of silver Olympic medal, which she won in 15 km women`s race, was disqualified from competitions for 2 years and was forced to return to Krasnoyarsk. Silver medal went to German Martina Glagow and another Russian biathlete Albina Akhatova got bronze. Nina Vinogradova, a personal doctor of Russian biathlete Olga Pyleva, was disqualified for 2 years by decision of International Union of biathletes. "Our administration doubted my honesty. There was no support from them though I know that heads of delegations fight for sportsmen to the end in force majeur circumstances", - emphasized the biathlete. Commenting information that Russian Olympic Committee will protest decision of International Olympic Committee, Pyleva said: "I wish to believe in triumph of justice but practice shows the opposite. During Salt Lake City Olympiad our skiers were withdrawn from relay race. There were many protestations then but no result". Pyleva noted that at present moment she feels much better: "Husband, daughter, father and mother are near. I don`t think about future".
