Russia to limit access to strategic industries for foreign companies
The government is going to limit the access to 39 types of activity for foreign companies, this types of activity including production of arms, nuclear materials, nuclear project construction and strategic fields development, the head of Russian Economic Development and Trade Ministry German Gref has informed today.

The government is going to limit the access to 39 types of activity for foreign companies, this types of activity including production of arms, nuclear materials, nuclear project construction and strategic fields development, the head of Russian Economic Development and Trade Ministry German Gref has informed today.
According to him, there is no final text of the corresponding draft law, however "particular approaches" are already coordinated by Economic Development and Trade Ministry and Russian Industry and Energy Ministry.
"A set of industries will be defined. Today the list contains 39 types of activity, where buying control packet of shares will have to be specially permitted", said the minister.
The draft law, reportedly, may be submitted for consideration to Government on March 9.
After the document comes into force, a so called "principle of one window" will start acting: large foreign investments into strategic fields of economics from the appropriate list, and Russian companies working in those fields, could be accomplished only on special permission.
