Russian minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov expressed the hope that Palestinian political organization HAMAS will observe previous agreements on Middle Asian regulation. "We hope that HAMAS as the leading political force of Palestinian National Assembly will contribute to realization of all previous agreements", - said Lavrov as Moscow meeting with HAMAS delegation started. "This initiative of Palestinian friends will be supported by Russia in bilateral relationships and by "quartet" of international mediators, Security Council of UNO", - emphasized the head of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From his turn, HAMAS representative Haled Mashal requested more active position of Moscow in Middle East. "We are interested in Russia playing a special role in settlement of Palestinian issue", - admitted the head of HAMAS political Bureau.
