Igor Velchev, suspected by the Moscow Prosecutor`s Office of the murder of NTV journalist Ilya Zimin, was noticed in Taraklia, which is the town, located on the south of Moldavia. He stayed there for two days and had disappeared just half an hour before the militia arrived, reported the Moldavian Ministry of Internal Affairs press-service official. Velchev is a native of the village Moskovey of Kagulsky district, which is located near Taraklia. Velchev came to Taraklia from Kagul, and then together with his mother left for Moscow. Igor’s step-father, who is a wrestling coach, stayed in Taraklia. That was he, at whose place appeared Velchev on 2 March, three days after the murder of the NTV journalist. Neither step-father nor his friends suspected, that Igor is on wanted list. Velchev spend the whole day in Taraklia on March 2, and a part of the following day. He didn’t try to hide himself and even attended the gym, the press-service of Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. According to the witnesses, a young man appeared at the gym at about 4 p.m., he had a short talk with Igor, after which Velchev disappeared and nobody saw him since then. The police was late literally for a half an hour; they arrived at 16.30 just to find a big bag with which Velchev arrived from Moscow. The Moldavian police addressed Velchevu via local mass-media with the imperative recommendation to arrive to the police himself as soon as possible.
