Russia considers establishment of joint with Iran enterprise on uranium enrichment impossible if Iranian side ignores demands of MAGATE, reported representative of Russian negotiating delegation. MAGATE demands lie in Iranian observance of moratorium on uranium enrichment investigations and ratification of additional protocol to Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. By information of Russian side, Iranian negotiators suggested to sign document on establishment of joint enterprise on Russian territory during Moscow and Teheran negotiations. "But Russia postponed the treaty signing until all issues with MAGATE are regulated", - said representative of Russian negotiators. "Since Iran didn`t come to agreement with MAGATE, Russia considers an establishment of joint enterprise impossible", - emphasized he. Commenting Turkish suggestion about joint Turkish-Iranian enterprise on uranium enrichment establishment on Turkish territory, Russian representative noted that experts regard the idea as an absurd one. "Turkey doesn`t have necessary technologies of nuclear-fuel cycle. A hypothetic supply of technologies on uranium enrichment to Turkey by NATO partners will be a direct violation of nuclear non-proliferation regime, which is unacceptable in current situation. Therefore, there are no grounds for serious discussion of the suggestion", - summarized the source.
