The World Day of Water is commemorated on 22 March. This day was established on the initiative of United Nations in 1993. The whole week will be dedicated to the day of water in Perm, which will be held on March from 20 to 26. Its basic events are mostly targeted at schoolchildren, since the attitude of society to the water in future depends on them. There are press conference for schoolchildren and students with the participation of the specialists of urban water channel administration, excursion to Bolshekamsky water intake and the Chusovsky cleaning construction in the program of the "Week". The week will be completed by the colorful procession of schoolchildren in Komsomol avenue with posters on the theme: "Take care for water". Furthermore, creative competitions for the children on the theme "Clean water" have been announced.
