"Conditions "winter package" work until the end of March this year, and from April 1 discount, which was provided by the Russian government, it will cease its action, and from April 1 gas supplies to Ukraine will be executed strictly in accordance with the contract," said the head of "Gazprom" Alexey Miller met with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev. In accordance with a winter project cost of Russian gas for Ukraine in November-December amounted to 378 USD (discounted to the contract value in the region of $ 100 per thousand cubic meters). Final cost of gas supplies to Ukraine for the 1st quarter has not yet been announced. Previous value, which was announced by hand, was estimated at 340-360 dollars per thousand cubic meters. Additionally, Russia relies on the repayment of Ukraine's debt for gas and Gazprom should do this. "Naturally, we are open to discuss various ways of cooperation, but nevertheless, on the future of this situation it should be used. Encourage, of course, the closing of the debt, and if something is required by the government line, please contact us, we will provide you with sufficient support, - said Dmitry Medvedev. - It's time to pay off those debts, that is, all the more so since Ukrainian colleagues are actively seeking funds in order to maintain a personal economy, " said Prime Minister RIA Novosti. "Debts, of course, you need to repay. Despite all the agreements that were reached in the last period with Ukraine, we believe that these agreements could be enforced only when the repayment of existing debt, and therefore what you came to Kyiv with a suitable proposal, I find absolutely correct and true," Medvedev said, referring to the head of "Gazprom". Gazprom has sent the Ukrainian "Naftogaz" message, which was recalled on existing debt raised earlier Russian gas. "Dmitry Anatolyevich, I want you to send a copy of the message, which was sent ("Gazprom") in the address of "Naftogaz of Ukraine", here we are talking about existing debt 2 billion 196 million dollars and the need for payment of fines for overdue period," Miller said.
