The Verkhovna Rada adopted the law on deprivation of Viktor Yanukovych with the title of President of Ukraine. For conforming to the document, the authors of which were 4 member of Parliament, voted 281 for the minimum required 226. This decision was made by the Parliament of the state for the first time in the history of Ukraine. As expected, the results of this should be a formal deprivation of Yanukovych all benefits and privileges, which are in conformity with the legislation of the former heads of the country. Yanukovych was elected President of Ukraine on February 25, 2010. The Verkhovna Rada on February 22, 2014 prematurely stopped his powers. According to the authors of accepted now law, it happened because Yanukovych has withdrawn itself from the performance of their regular duties, and fled from areas of Ukraine "in order to avoid sanctions for absolute lawless actions against the rights and freedoms".
