European favorites no doubt that a diplomatic solution to the crisis in Ukraine as before remains the only possible option for settlement of the incident in the Donbass. Great expectations powers of the West lay in the upcoming talks in Moscow, however the results may not be instant, convinced politicians.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel stressed that all decisions on Ukraine must meet the Minsk agreements, reports RIA Novosti referring to Bloobberg. The talks in Moscow are unlikely to lead to a cease-fire in Ukraine, says Merkel. She told that it is still not clear whether the negotiations to resolve the incident continued after the meeting in Moscow.
The French President, moreover, is planning to reach agreement in the course of their joint Chancellor Angela Merkel's visit to Moscow. "Everyone knows that the first step should be a ceasefire, but this may not be enough and you need to achieve unlimited settlement," he said, Hollande Agence France-Presse.
