Naftogaz paid until mid-March

Gazprom received from the Ukrainian side the next tranche payment of $ 15 million for gas deliveries in early March. About it, according to TASS, told reporters the official representative of the Russian company Sergei Kupriyanov.

"Naftogaz paid another $ 15 million, ensuring himself of domestic gas to the middle of the month, if not will become colder and orders will not grow. According to the calculations Naka (i.e. without Donbass), today paid 63.3 million cubic metres," he said.

A day earlier, on March 5, Naftogaz has transferred the same amount to "Gazprom". Then Kupriyanov said it will last approximately 5 days at current levels of supply.

The head of the Ministry of energy of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn March 3, stated that Kyiv is not experiencing a critical need in the supply of domestic gas. Also, Russian energy Minister Alexander Novak said that Gazprom has received a request from the Ukrainian side on the flow in the pipe 10 million cubic meters of Russian gas per day.

Gazprom supplies gas to Ukraine in the so-called winter package, which includes delivery by the end of March. Russia with all of this gives Ukraine a discount on basic cost of approximately $ 100 per thousand cubic meters.

According to reliable information, the Russian gas monopoly, Kiev has not repaid the debt for previous deliveries in the amount of 2.44 billion dollars. Together with this "Naftogaz" recognizes that the national party has received cash for a greater volume of gas than is actually delivered.

Gazprom said on 26 February that it expected prepayment March deliveries prior to 1 March. The next day the Russian company approved the receipt from Naftogaz $ 15 million. It was noted that this amount would be enough only for a day supply, and the Russian gas holding was scheduled from March 3 to stop the flow of gas.
