The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko took the 1st batch of the American military vehicle HMMWV (Humvee), said press Secretary of the Ukrainian leader to the United States on Wednesday.

first Ukrainian media said that at the end of March to Ukraine will be delivered thirty armored HMMWV - army vehicles of the U.S. army, military power of several other countries and civil services. Later, the press service Poroshenko said that the first batch of American vehicles will arrive in Ukraine on Wednesday.

Ukraine has already taken the 1st batch of 20 Saxon British made cars. A contract for the purchase of these armoured cars was signed in the beginning of winter last year. The price of one Saxon is about 50 thousand dollars.

The Ukrainian authorities have taken in April of last year in the Donbass military operation against dissatisfied with the coup of the region's residents. According to the final data of the UN, the victims of the conflict began more than 6 thousand people. The next meeting of the contact group on 12 February ended with the adoption of a package of measures on execution of the Minsk agreements, involving, for example, the ceasefire in the Donbass from February fifteen, the withdrawal of heavy weapons and the development of the security zone.
