Belarusian opposing political force conducts in Minsk traditional campaign " freedom Day ", dedicated to the Foundation of the Belarusian national Republic (BNR).

The Belarusian people's Republic was proclaimed on the night of March 25, 1918, during the First world war, in terms of the German occupation and the retreat of the Bolsheviks from Minsk. In 1919 in the country was established Soviet power, and the BNR government was forced to emigrate.

The action is sanctioned by the city authorities, however, at the request of the Executive Committee meeting times adjusted: March and rally must be completed before the end of the working day.

now at the cinema "October" on the main Avenue of the city gathered several hundred people, mostly young people. It is expected that the column members soon will head to the Park of Friendship of Peoples, which will host a one-hour meeting.

This year the Event is held under the slogan " Together for peace and independence ". The participants in the hands of the white-red-white flags, flags of the European Union and Ukraine, as well as posters with slogans in support of the Belarusian language, the liberation of people from the lists of political prisoners, the cooperation of Belarus with the EU, and likewise in support of the integrity of Ukraine. Periodically, they chant " Live Belarus ", "Believe me, that will win" sing songs in Belarusian.
