Russia will protect allies in the East (video) In Moscow Tajikistan Dushanbe hosted a meeting of heads of foreign ministries of the member States of the Organization of collective security Treaty (CSTO). One of the issues that were evaluated by the participants of the negotiations, was countering the threat posed by "Islamic state".

The militants of the terrorist group "Islamic state", which is hosted in a number of States in the Middle East, taking advantage of the political instability in them, threaten not only the security of the nearby countries, but to all States in the region. In this regard, Russia is very interested in building a full-fledged foreign security that is supposed to protect the country and its allies from invading extremists.

The question of counter-terrorists controlled by the "Islamic state" was discussible at the meeting of Ministers of overseas Affairs of member States of the CSTO, Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. More possible dissemination of threat experts see across the border of Afghanistan and Tajikistan, in connection with which the support has to be given, to begin with, specifically in this area.

In this regard, is no accident that the place of negotiation of the CSTO States became Dushanbe. We talked about the development of military-technical cooperation, on the proposal of the Russian Federation Tajikistan as an ally of the CSTO military-technical assistance, for starters, given the threats that increase with the South in connection with degrading, despite any claims to the contrary, the situation in Afghanistan, where, along with traditionally present extremist groups, including the Islamic movement of Uzbekistan", "Islamic movement of Turkestan" and "al-Qaeda", and at the moment already taken root "Islamic state", - told the head of the Russian foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov following a private visit to Tajikistan.

"We have adopted the commitment to the fulfillment of the promises in front of Tajikistan in strengthening its defenses both bilaterally and within the scope of the decisions taken in the CSTO. Among other things, currently signed the Program of foreign policy cooperation between the ministries of foreign Affairs of Russia and Tajikistan. This is a classic document that ensures the coordination of our actions in international organizations and our embassies abroad", - the press service quoted the Ministry Sergei Lavrov.

"We also confirmed the Project consultations of the members of the CSTO foreign policy, defence and security. This is an intensive document, which provides more than 20 events," said the head of the Russian foreign Ministry.
