The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on the legal regime of martial law.

"This law defines the content of the legal regime of martial law, the procedure for the imposition and lifting, legal bases of activity of public authorities, military command, military administrations, local authorities, factories, institutions and organizations in conditions of martial law, guarantees the rights and freedoms of man and citizen and the rights and legitimate interests of legal entities," according to the explanatory note to the document.
