Media: Ukraine will have the opportunity to rename 25 cities
After the entry into force of the new law On decommunization of Ukraine in the country have the opportunity to be renamed 25 cities, said local media.
"in 2009, the elected officials have already offered to do it, and even prepared a list of the cities that you should rename ", - writes the newspaper " New time ". Thus, among the candidates for renaming in 2009 was the city of Artemivsk (Donetsk and Luhansk region), Dzerzhinsk, which it was proposed that the name of the Shcherbynivka.

In early April the Minister of justice of Ukraine Pavel Petrenko said that the Verkhovna Rada until 9 may adopt laws that " will put an end to the question of the existence of Communist and Nazi ideologies." The day before the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine submitted to the Verkhovna Rada the bill " On access to the archives of the repressive organs of the Communist totalitarian regime, 1917-1991 ". In addition, the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has made the initiative to consider the draft law "on perpetuation of victory over Nazism in the Second world war 1939-1945" and " On the legal status and the memory of participants of fight for independence of Ukraine in the twentieth century ".
