The COP of Ukraine decided not to postpone the consideration of the law on lustration
The constitutional Court (CC) of Ukraine did not want to postpone the proceedings on the constitutionality of certain provisions of the law about the cleansing Power (lustration), reports. The decision was made Thursday at the request of the Ministry of justice of Ukraine.

Similarly, the Court received the Appeal on this issue from 47 people's deputies. Appeal of the Supreme court and the deputies were combined into one case. On Thursday, the COP began to consider the constitutionality of certain provisions of the law on lustration. Yesterday, the justice Ministry said in Parliament submitted adjustments to legislation on lustration.

in mid-September last year, the Ukrainian Parliament with the 3rd attempt the blessed law on lustration. As said at the time the attorney General Vitaly Yarema, the law contradicts the Constitution and the requirements of international law. Anyway, October 9, the Ukrainian head Petro Poroshenko has signed the law, but did not rule out entering into it of changes in the case of comments from the Venice Commission and the constitutional court.

Lustration of Power was one of the requirements of participants of mass protest actions held on the Maidan since the end of November 2013 to March 2014, which led to the coup d'etat in Ukraine. As part of the beginning in the country after the adoption of the legislation of the so-called lustration process has already dismissed most of the officials who worked under the presidency of Yanukovych.
