Experimental rocket fell in Plesetsk Launched from the Plesetsk experimental rocket fell in the Arkhangelsk region. With all this explosion is the result of the fall of the missiles managed to avoid.

According to unconfirmed information, the dangerous components of the rocket was not. It is known that the total weight of the rocket was 9.6 tons, separating the rocket - empty workpiece to the measuring equipment. With all this officially evidence about the crash of the rocket has not yet been reported.

Note that the cosmodrome in Plesetsk is considered one of the oldest in the world. Since the 1970s, and until the early 1990s it was the world's leader in the number of rocket launches into space, ahead of "Baikonur". However in the 1990s, the annual number of launches with "Plesetsk" decreased. Currently, the spaceport is a complex scientific / technical complex, performing all sorts of tasks in the interests of the Armed Forces of Russia, and for peaceful purposes. Plesetsk is located 180 km South of Arkhangelsk in the village of peace. The number of personnel and population of this city is 30 thousand people, and the total area of the cosmodrome is 176 200 hectares. Among the currently employed cosmodrome "Plesetsk" is the most northerly in the world.
