Kirilenko: working group on "the Museum of totalitarianism" will gather in Ukraine
The working group on creation in Ukraine "Museum of totalitarianism" will be organized this week, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of culture of Ukraine Vyacheslav Kirilenko.

The Verkhovna Rada had passed a law banning the Communist and the national socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes in Ukraine and their symbolism. This act has not yet entered into force because not signed by the President Petro Poroshenko. Kirilenko first spoke with the initiative to do in Ukraine " Museum of totalitarianism ".

"The working group on creation of the Museum of the history of totalitarianism or the Soviet occupation, because the name has yet to be agreed, will be established by the Ministry of culture this week. Along with this, we expect the signing of laws (banning Communist symbols - ed.) " - said Kirilenko correspondents after meeting on the establishment of such a Museum.

He said that is the inter-Ministerial organizing Committee for the establishment of the Museum, and that already receives a lot of thoughts regarding the location and concept. During the meeting, the commissioners of various museums of the proposed placement of the object in different places of Kiev, and likewise in the former residence of ex-President Viktor Yanukovych's Mezhyhirya and even in the Chernobyl area. Meeting participants suggested that the Museum must be brought all the monuments to Lenin and other leaders of the Soviet era, which are destroyed in different places of Ukraine.
