The authorized state Department Marie Harf called on militias in the East of Ukraine to implement the access of OSCE observers on all controlled their territory.

"Russia-backed Separatists continue to deny the OSCE access to much of the territory that they control. Yesterday, observers were not allowed at the site to the East of Mariupol, " - said Harf.

"We welcome the efforts of the OSCE to establish a local ceasefire in the area", she added.

"The separatists signed the Minsk agreement and plan of implementation, which provides for the access of OSCE observers and the withdrawal of heavy weapons. This is not happening. Denial of access creates the impression that the separatists have something to hide, " added Harf.

"We again call for the free and unfettered access throughout Ukraine to the OSCE until the Russian-Ukrainian border, and call on all parties to work with the OSCE to prevent further violent actions ", - said Harf.

Russia has many times rejected accusations of interference in the Ukrainian crisis.
