The head of the European Council Donald Tusk and the head of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker welcomed the progress in trilateral consultations with Russia on gas and ready to continue cooperation, said the press service of the Ukrainian leader on the first day of the week.

"Leaders applauded the progress in trilateral consultations between Ukraine, the EU and the Russian Federation on gas supplies from Russia to Ukraine in order to increase the security of gas supply for Ukraine and its people, as well as the provision of stable, adequate and uninterrupted gas transit to the EU ", - reported in circulation.

Poroshenko, Tusk and Juncker expressed readiness to continue the cooperation between Kiev and the EU in the field of urgent reform of the energy sector of Ukraine, mutual modernization and exploitation of the Ukrainian gas transport system and underground gas storage facilities, provision of gas supplies from Europe to Ukraine.
