World No.2 Maria Sharapova is likely to come to Russia to support the side in Fed Cup final rubber against Italy.

After her early exit from US Open Maria Sharapova underwent a medical examination that showed she has not yet healed her right shoulder injury.

Sharapova said to Russia`s captain Shamil Tarpischev that she found it only fair that the players who earned a spot in the final for Russia will have a chance to try to win the title.

Though Sharapova`s participation in Fed Cup is ruled out she is likely to come to Moscow to train with the national side and support teammates during the final clashes.
