Georgia supported the EC report on the readiness of the country to the abolition of visas with the EU
Maggie Kikaleyshvili. Georgia positively assesses the report of the European Commission on the implementation of the Tbilisi EU requirements for transition to a visa-free regime with the European Union and will do everything in their power to in the near future to achieve positive results in this direction, said the head of the Georgian country Giorgi Margvelashvili on mutual press conference with European Commissioner for European neighbourhood policy and enlargement negotiations Johannes Hahn in Belgium.

The EC presented a report on the performance of Kiev and Tbilisi in order to liberalize the visa regime. Review Commission, Ukraine and Georgia have made significant progress towards the abolition of visas, but they still are expected to do this much work in different areas. The EC also stated That Ukraine and Georgia will not be offered a visa-free regime with the EU "Eastern partnership" in Riga on may 21-22. The subsequent report about the readiness of the country pairs for the abolition of visas with the European Union, the Commission makes a promise to introduce before the end of the year.
