A draft law allowing foreigners to serve in the Ukrainian army and other security agencies, is an attempt to legitimize the presence in Ukraine of mercenaries, the head of the people's Council of the self-proclaimed LNR Alexey Karjakin.

"It turns out that Ukraine is trying to legalize the stay of mercenaries who are on its territory," he was quoted Luhansk information center.

Parliament on Tuesday adopted in the first reading the draft law on service of foreigners in the Ukrainian army. The document must undergo a second reading. In opinion of authors of legislative proposals, at the expense of foreigners, which will join the ranks of the military power, will decrease the need to mobilize the Residents of Ukraine and spending on different forms of payments present hostilities.
