Communist symbolism dismantled in Kyiv public buildings
Kyiv city Council decided to dismantle the Communist symbols from public buildings, it is known as the Ukrainian national symbols, such decision on Thursday was supported by 86 deputies of 106 who have an account in the hall.

The Communist symbols to be dismantled, are any main image of the state emblem of the former Soviet Union hammer and sickle, as well as the image of Vladimir Lenin, reports

The Department of communal property of the Executive body of Kyiv city Council (Kyiv city state administration) mandated until June 28 to make a list of the buildings that host the Communist symbols, and graphics for its dismantling.

Utilities will be required to dismantle the symbolism until August 24 to 31 March 2016 to install them instead of the state symbols of Ukraine.

The Verkhovna Rada had passed a law banning the Communist and the national socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes in Ukraine and their symbolism. This act has not yet entered into force because not signed by the President. The document caused a great resonance in society, because it has not been clearly written by the boundaries of its use. For example, on assurances of experts, under the ban could get not only the symbols of Communist power, but also, in particular, orders and medals of veterans on which they were painted.
