Tripartite meeting on Association Kiev - EU will take place in Brussels

MOSCOW, may 18 - RIA Novosti/Prime. The head of the Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation Alexei Ulyukayev in Brussels will participate in a trilateral Ministerial meeting on the implementation of the economic part of the Treaty on unification of Ukraine and the EU.

the agenda is also a separate meeting of the speaker with the European Commissioner for trade, Cecilia malmstr?m, they will discuss the current issues of Russian-European cooperation.

The Ministerial meeting in the format of Russia - Ukraine - EU was preceded by the April expert meeting, which, according to the statements of the Russian side, have not yielded results. The results of this meeting Ulyukayev said that Russia's concern only increases, because Ukraine is in fact the beginning of "creeping" the implementation of the economic part of the agreement, and Kiev and Brussels are reluctant to resolve the existing situation.

A free trade area between Ukraine and the EU, the introduction of which is stipulated by the agreement on unity, must earn in full on 1 January 2016. Russia repeatedly warned about the risks to its economy from the agreement, the fears in the Russian capital caused five blocks of questions: the liberalization of customs tariffs between Ukraine and the EU, technical regulation, veterinary and phytosanitary measures, customs administration, and energy.

Kiev has taken a number of decisions of the contract in terms of standards, technical regulation and phitosanitary norms. Russia in violation of the terms of the implementation of this part of the contract reserves the right to introduce measures to protect its economy, including import duties on items from Ukraine.

along with this, the Minister of economy of Ukraine aivaras Abromavicius said fifteen may that Kiev is ready to hold with Russia meeting on customs and phytosanitary control in connection with the implementation of the Treaty on free trade with the EU, but the rules of the Treaty will not change.

Malmstr?m in early may agreed that the economic part of the Treaty should enter into force on 1 January 2016 and the EU does not consider the possibility of revising it. Russia also focuses on that date, and which is taken into account in trade negotiations, told in the Ministry of economic development.
