The meeting of Russia and the USA in the Russian capital were pragmatic, the parties discussed how to support the Minsk process, as well as among them the activities of the sub-working groups for Ukraine, said the U.S. assistant Secretary of state Victoria Nuland.

She stated that she had the opportunity on the first day of the week to meet with Vice-Minister of foreign Affairs Sergey Ryabkov and Grigory Karasin. Nuland said that the meetings were " comprehensive, pragmatic."

"We discussed how the U.S. has the opportunity to Express support for the process of implementation of the Minsk agreements, to Express support for the parties - Ukraine, the OSCE and the Russian Federation, who are trying to move forward the work of the trilateral contact group and sub-working groups on security, political, economic and humanitarian aspects," the U.S. diplomat said at a press conference on the results of the talks in the Russian foreign Ministry.
