Japan has allocated Ukraine 1, us $ 5 billion of loans on a number of projects, informs on Tuesday a press-service of administration of the Ukrainian President.

As informs the press service, Tuesday Deputy head of the presidential administration Valeriy Chaly had a meeting with Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Japan Yasumasa Nagamine.

"Valeriy Chaly expressed gratitude to the Japanese side for strong cash assistance to Ukraine, for example $ 1, 5 billion of credit assistance for the implementation of a number of projects in support of development ", - is informed in the report.

It is also stated that Chaly positively said the decision by the Japanese government on the allocation of Ukraine of additional assistance in the amount of 316, 6 million dollars to stabilize the national economy and support reforms.

Ukraine is currently hosted in serious political crisis, which affects its economy and the public sector and puts the country on the brink of default. The authorities are hopeful to improve the situation of foreign borrowing. The IMF opened for Ukraine a two-year lending program for 17, 5 billion.
