The Deputy speaker: Armenia is pursuing a balanced policy in relations with the EU
Armenia is pursuing a balanced policy in relations with the EU, said Wednesday the Deputy speaker of the National Assembly (Parliament) of Armenia, member of the leadership of the ruling Republican party of Armenia Hermine Naghdalyan.

"in this we have achieved certain results. Tomorrow we will see what that will be on the agenda of the summit in Riga, " said Hermine Naghdalyan correspondents.

The summit of the EU "Eastern partnership" will be held may 21-22 in the Latvian capital Riga. The summit will be attended by President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.

"The workflow goes. Yerevan tends to come from existing agreements and commitments, but in those spheres where Armenia is not bound by other contractual obligations, it will deepen cooperation with the EU, " she added.

Naghdalyan said that the Armenian side has hopes in the future to sign a document with the European Union and it would be good to combine in it the political and economic components.

The program "Eastern partnership" includes political Association and economic integration of the EU with Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The last 3 countries last year signed the Association agreement with the EU partnership.
