Schultz: consensus development of the Eastern partnership the EU has no
In the European Union there is no consensus on the issue of further development of the program " Eastern partnership ", said the head of the European Parliament Martin Schulz on the last working day of the week in Riga.

The politician said that participation in the Eastern partnership, Azerbaijan and Belarus restricts the program, because the internal structure in these countries is contrary to European values.

But "Eastern partnership" with regard to countries like Azerbaijan and Belarus, the internal structure of which is incompatible with the EU and our basic values, also aggravates the summit, " added Schultz.

The program "Eastern partnership" includes political Association and economic integration of the EU with Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The last 3 countries last year signed the Association agreement with the EU partnership.

in Riga on may 21-22, is hosting the summit of the countries participating in the programme.
