92-year-old woman broke the marathon record During the classic marathon in North America San Diego happened unique phenomenon. The distance of 42 kilometers and 195 meters managed to overcome the 92-year-old U.S. citizen Harriet Thompson.

Old American resident ran a marathon in San Diego for 7 hours, 24 minutes and 36 seconds. She crossed the finish border in the company of his 56-year-old son, Brenny. At the time of setting the record, Thompson was 92 years and 65 days. The previous record of 92 years and 19 days, belonged to Gladys Burrill who ran in the 2010 marathon in Honolulu.

"I'm fine, they are my current pet," he told Thompson that unknown people welcomed after the finish. "Every year is harder, but it was a difficult year for me," added the 16-th time participating in the marathon grandma, explaining that her husband had died in January of 2015.

"I'm surprised the General interest in my personality. I don't think I did something unusual, although I pleased. Every year I promise own family and friends to complete a career, but I did not get to do it.
