Obama and Merkel came to a common position on sanctions against Russia
The head of Barack Obama and German Chancellor Angela Merkel agreed on the duration of anti-Russian sanctions, the Agency reports citing the message of the White house.

Obama and Merkel met face to face before the first plenary G7. First it was claimed that the meeting will be held in Crane (Kruen) near ELMAU castle, which will host the G7 summit.

the U.S. President and the German Chancellor agreed that the duration of the punishment should be directly related to full implementation by Russia of the terms of the Minsk agreement on Ukraine, reports the Agency.

it is said that the leaders of several countries also discussed the Transatlantic trade and investment partnership and stressed the importance of mutual work in future agreements.
