The head of Ukraine signed the law on the legal regime of martial law
The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the law on the legal regime of martial law, notified on the Internet office of the Verkhovna Rada on the first day of the week.

The law defines the content of the legal regime of martial law, the procedure for its imposition and lifting, the legal basis of activities of public authorities, military command, military administrations, local authorities, factories, institutions and organizations in conditions of martial law, guarantees the rights and freedoms of man and citizen, the rights and legitimate interests of legal entities.

in February, the Council of national security and defence (NSDC) of Ukraine were still blessed by the President Poroshenko to the draft law on introducing changes to the Law on martial law, which is required to bring it into congruence with the current situation in the country.

As explained NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov, the law on the legal regime of martial law was adopted many years ago, but the legislators who received him, hardly imagine that he really once applied.

for example, the Law prescribes the procedure for imposing martial law. So, suggestions on the introduction of martial law in Ukraine or in particular areas for consideration to the President of Ukraine takes the NSDC. After the Director issues a decree on the introduction of martial law and is immediately drawn to the Verkhovna Rada for his statement.
