Residents of Germany were against involvement in armed conflict with Russia
The vast majority of Germans are Opposed to participation in an armed conflict with Russia to protect its NATO allies, inform the data sociologicheskogo research organization Pew Research Center.
Against the conflict with Russia made up 58% of the population in Germany, Deutsche Welle reports.
56% of American citizens and 53% of Canadians, on the contrary, is ready to defend its allies in the Alliance. In Germany also were the least of supporters of Ukraine's accession to NATO was 36% in the U.S. this idea was supported by 62% of respondents. At the same time for the introduction of NATO troops to Ukraine expressed 50% of poles, 46% of American citizens and 44% of Canadians. In the UK and France the figure was 42% and 40%, respectively, in Germany, the supporters of this measure are 19% of the respondents. In addition, those wishing to provide economic assistance to Kiev in the U.S. is much smaller than in the EU. In Poland and Spain for similar support was expressed by 77% of the respondents in Canada, 75% in Germany, 71% in the U.S. - 62%. The survey was conducted in eight NATO countries: USA, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Poland in April-may 2015. Moscow has stated many times that it is not involved in the events in Eastern Ukraine, is not a party to domestic conflict and is interested in Ukraine overcame political and economic crisis.
