Jaresko: Kiev will suspend payments if you cannot negotiate with creditors
Ukraine will be forced to impose a moratorium on payments on a small external debt obligations in the event the agreement with the creditors will not be achieved this summer, said the Minister of Finance Natalia Jaresko.

Kiev is experiencing a financial crisis and forced to turn to the West for loans. Currently is the 1st change to the extended payment of the IMF, the results of which Kiev hopes to get 1, 7 billion. Before Jaresko said that Kiev hopes to receive this tranche in July.

"I don't think we have so much time. In this regard, I will be forced to use other tools to reduce pressure on the balance of payments, a moratorium, "said Jaresko in response to correspondents' questions about whether have possibility dialogues about debt to last until the autumn, reports the Agency.

the head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko at the end of may signed a law allowing the Cabinet to impose a moratorium on payments on a small external debt obligations. The document also provides that in the case of the introduction of the Cabinet of Ministers of the moratorium creditors will not be able to pay the judicial recovery of state property.


New credit IMF program for Ukraine provides for the allocation of Fund 17, 5 billion dollars, and all international creditors over four years - $ 40 billion, including the fifteen billion through debt restructuring. Under the terms of the IMF Ukraine should implement economic reforms. IMF specialists offer the Ukrainian government to focus on the reform of the revenue side of the budget, energy, industrial sector, as well as in the areas of education and health.
