Yatsenyuk: debts of Kiev before the "traders" have to be restructured
Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk said after talks with the managing Director of the international monetary Fund Christine Lagarde that the debts of the country to private creditors have to be restructured, notified on the Internet office of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers.

on Wednesday, Lagarde met with Yatsenyuk and Minister of Finance Natalia Jaresko. They discussed the current economic situation and the reform programme for Ukraine, which is held under the auspices of the IMF.

"Our position is unchanged debts to private creditors have to be restructured," he noticed Yatsenyuk correspondents in the U.S. capital after the meeting with Lagarde.

Yatsenyuk also said that one of the goals of his working visit to the USA was preparing for the investment conference, to be held July 13 at the bilateral level between Ukraine and the USA.

in addition, Yatsenyuk drew attention to the need to continue reforms in the country, expressing hope that 2016 will be the first year of economic improvement.

"This simple recipe does not happen and there is no quick solution. But I hope that if all goes according to the plan we're looking at 2016 shall be the first year of economic improvement, " said he.

The Minister of Finance of Ukraine have said before, that Kiev will be forced to impose a moratorium on payments on a small external debt obligations in the event the agreement with the creditors will not be achieved this summer.

first of authorized Fund supported the restructuring of the debt of Ukraine, which Kiev until cannot come to a consensus with private creditors. IMF is the largest official creditor of Ukraine, issued loans not subject to restructuring.




New credit IMF program for Ukraine provides for the allocation of Fund 17, 5 billion dollars, and all international creditors over four years - $ 40 billion, including the fifteen billion through debt restructuring. Under the terms of the IMF Ukraine should implement economic reforms. IMF specialists offer the Ukrainian government to focus on the reform of the revenue side of the budget, energy, industrial sector, as well as in the areas of education and health.
