Slovakia tightens security on border with Ukraine, setting 47 new surveillance cameras at the price of about 1, 46 million dollars, reported in circulation, the country's interior Ministry released on Sunday.

according to the Agency, currently on the Slovak-Ukrainian border is already installed hundreds of surveillance cameras.

According to the Ministry, the authorities have plans to strengthen surveillance in the Northern part of the border. The new equipment will be determined on a segment length of about six kilometers between the villages of Bast and Ulich.

"The system that will be installed in the Northern part of the state border with Ukraine, will give the opportunity to make the best technical practices to ensure greater accuracy in monitoring the movement of people to places where cameras will be installed ", - reported in circulation by the Ministry.

The Ministry of internal Affairs of Slovakia also emphasizes that these measures will allow police officers to more effectively identify, control and prevent cases of illegal crossing of the state border.
