Latest border ship to the FSB will be built by the Central marine design Bureau "Almaz". With all this, the lead ship of this project, which was named "North star", was built in the factory in Zelenodolsk and undergoing tests in the Baltic sea.

Laying the ship will be built at the scale of a government contract worth more than 17 billion rubles. The agreement involves the construction of 2 ships of this type. The court will pass to the customer until 2019. To serve border guard ships will be in the Arctic.

Ships of the project "Ocean" was created to protect the exceptional financial zone of Russia, and also to support the special forces of the FSB of Russia in the fight against terrorism and piracy, smuggling and illegal trafficking. The armament of the ship consists of automatic artillery and heavy machine guns. Upon the deck a helipad and hangar for helicopter like the Ka-27. The ship is equipped with new electronic systems research and exploration.
