The state customs Committee (SCC) of Belarus is concerned about the smuggling in of arms and ammunition from the territory of Ukraine, said on Thursday in Hrodna the head of the state customs Committee Yuri Senko.

"Unfortunately, in Ukraine at the present time upon the free circulation of weapons, and it is dangerous for our country. If the Polish and Lithuanian direction of smuggling in practice we do not fix, then in Ukrainian problem became topical. The head of the SCC noticed that customs is currently extremely important to not allow such weapons to Belarus.

According to Senko, After border guards, which created additional border detachment in the Ukrainian direction, the SCC has strengthened the control events associated with the inspection of vehicles on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border and oriented staff on the problem of illegal importation of arms.
