Russian astrologer Leonid Elenin, scientific worker of the Institute of applied arithmetic. M. V. Keldysh RAS, discovered a new asteroid that poses a potential threat to Earth. This celestial body passes in a disastrous close proximity to our planet on 26 June this year.

The discovery was made on June 14 by remote analysis of information with 40-centimeter optical telescope in the team of new Mexico (United States). This telescope is in Russian scientific network of optical instruments for astrometric and photometric studies (ison, international name - ISON).

An asteroid the size from 86 to 270 meters was designated as 2015 LK24. On the morning of June 26 heavenly body will pass at a distance of 4.7 million miles from Earth. To see it with the naked eye will not be able - at the moment of closest approach its brightness reaches a total of 17-th magnitude. In spite of this, a new celestial body is classified as potentially dangerous.

"The line of motion of asteroids vary under the influence of the planets around which they pass. The period of revolution of the asteroid 2015 LK24 in the Solar system is about 5 years. He moves in an elongated orbit, approaching the Sun, reaching the orbit of Jupiter. Until we know whether the asteroid is closer or farther from the Earth in further approaches," said the astrologer Elenin TASS.

Note that in the group are all potentially dangerous asteroids with a diameter of 100-150 meters and passing at a distance of 0.05 astronomical units from Earth - 7.5 million km Asteroid 2015 LK24 qualify and the size and proximity to Earth.
