The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in February passed a law which provides for the deprivation of Yanukovych honorary title of President. Yesterday, the law came into force.

Yanukovych was deposed as President of Ukraine in February 2014 after the coup. The Verkhovna Rada ousted him from power, changed the Constitution and called early presidential elections, the results of which became the new President Poroshenko. The impeachment regarding Yanukovych was not carried out.
